Wednesday 8th July meeting at CNS PDF Print E-mail
Friday, 03 July 2009
This week is your chance to test your Direction Finding "foxhunt" equipment or seek advice from others before the Trophy event on July 22nd. If you would like to buy a DF100 kit at just £3 please order one from David G7URP before Tuesday - tools will be available on the evening.

We will also be showing some of the clubs older radio equipment assets which have not been used or loaned out recently and which will be sold at Barford rally to raise funds for some more modern equipment. As they are club assets we think it fair to give club members first refusal (subject to reasonable offers) before offering to anyone at Barford.
PLEASE NOTE
The school have building work starting in the dining room next to our meeting room commencing this week which will mean that access to our room will only be via the computer room and also parking in the car park at front of building will not be possible during this work over the summer.
Please also inform other friends and members who normally park or enter from the front of the building.

Radio by the Seaside PDF Print E-mail
Saturday, 20 June 2009
We are pleased to confirm we are again doing Radio by the Seaside from the beautiful setting at West Runton on Sunday July 19th. This is a completely informal family day with light radio for those who want to - some made kite aerials last year! MAC 2 will be there along with a BarB Q for any who would like to cook their lunch or the local cafe does great lunches and teas and has good toilets nearby. Make a date in your diary - a map will be published nearer the time.
Its a great day out in a wonderful part of Norfolk for the price of a £2 car park ticket - just ask any member who has been before.

Rally Trip 2009 PDF Print E-mail
Thursday, 11 June 2009
A brand new radio rally called the National Hamfest has just been announced by the RSGB for October 2nd and 3rd at Newark and NARC are planning to organise a coach trip on one of these days.
It promises to be a really major rally building on success of previous venues like Leicester, Donnington and Elvaston with all major manufacturers and suppliers attending with large inside area, car boot and even caravan parking - it is also easier to get to for those of us in the east as it is essentially A47 then A1.
More details and price for the trip as we get them, but meantime please be thinking of if you would go which day would you prefer,
2-3 of October Friday & Saturday as we will be taking a vote (because some would have to take the Friday off work)
